"Almabtrieb" weeks
In our Resia Pass region, the traditional return of cattle from Alpine pastures in autumn has always been an important event in the course of the year and is still an occasion of extensive celebration. The colourful spectacle is taking place in the early autumn of each year. The animals returning from high Alpine summer pastures are abundantly decorated with ribbons, sequins and mirrors, and in the village, the shepherds are welcomed with music and traditional specialties.
